Trends come and go, but kindness will always be the new black!

Don’t get me wrong, I love fashion! Clothes. Shoes. Accessories. Makeup. I’m all things girly. But an outside dolled up without taking even more time to invest on the character inside is meaningless. It’s like seeing a house with all the fine trimmings on the outside, but shabby when you step through the front door.

Fact: a gracious heart oozing kind speech and actions is the most attractive asset you can possess!

Let’s talk more about kindness though...

It’s easy to be kind to someone when they’re kind to you. That’s an ideal world. But what about when you’ve been wronged? Be kind anyway.

There’s a misconception that showing unconditional kindness is weakness. Like rolling over as a door mat. Reality is, it’s in fact quite the opposite. It takes strength and maturity of character to put aside your own hurts and feelings, and choose to respond from a place of kindness instead of reacting from hurt.

The power of unconditional kindness can:

- Soften a hard heart.

- Deescalate negative emotions.

- Disarm insecurities.

- Disarm defensiveness.

- Break down walls of offense.

- Bring about reconciliation.

- Brighten someone’s day.

People won’t necessarily remember what you wear today, but they’ll always remember how you made them feel. So whatever you wear today, don’t forget to put on some kindness! You’ll always be in fashion.
